Construction Update -- Wednesday morning

Worked is continuing on the Scott house on Edna Lane in the Woodlawn community of Montgomery County,  The house is rapidly taking shape as hundreds of voluneers have worked around the clock since construction began on Sunday.

On Tuesday evening, siding and roofing were finished.  Into Tuesday night, drywall prep was under way and preliminary yard work began.

By Wednesday morning, tile was being laid throughout the house, cabinets were being installed, and painters were beginning to go to work.  By sunrise on Wednesday, painting will be well underway.

As the day proceeds Wednesday, the yard will begin to take shape while finishing work continues in the house.

Much work is yet to be done before Ty can reveal the new house to the Scott family on Friday afternoon.

Volunteers are needed in the overnight hours from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.  Volunteers will be needed on Saturday and Sunday for a massive cleanup effort.

Spectators are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to contribute to a food drive for Urban Ministries.  Also, on Thursday, spectators will have an oppotunity to participate in a blood drive with the American Red Cross.
